CONE, ATN3 John jcone@wi.rr.com "...I served with VP-881 and VP-883 at NAS Olathe, Kansas from 1962 to 1970. I was a radio operator and remember flying with CDR Secord (Pilot), CPO Francis (FE), and Bobby Brown (Ordinance). Of course there was also a Co-Pilot, TACCO, ECM and MAD operators, and others, but it was too long ago to remember all of their names. I do remember box lunches, long flights, and getting a technical "kill" on submarine one summer training in NAS North Island, San Diego, California. Or was it the summer at NAS Moffett Field, California?..." [31AUG2003]

DULLE, AMS3 Michael J. mjdulle@kc.rr.com "...I served with VP-881 (1961-1963). The squadron was deployed to NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. We joined up with VP-661 to perform our main mission of reconnaissance. This deployment was blast and I enjoyed every minute of my tour of duty. I belonged to the best crew in the squadron, Snoopy Dog 3. I was the MAD operator on the crew and was AMS3. I will never forget the members of Snoopy Dog 3..." [12NOV2010]

Other info......Flew with MIT graduate Frank Glazier (went on to TWA), Jack Brassfield (Navigator), Maurice Willis (pilot), Ed King (pilot) out of Olathe, KS
  From newspaper clippings:
Ensign M.C. Giorgini arrived at Pearl Harbor, HI. Entered the Navy Air Corp in Feb 1943. Commissioned at Pensacola, FL Sept 19, 1944.
Returned from two weeks annual anti-subwarfare training at NAS Oakland, California.
Duty with Navy Reserve Aviation Squadron VP-881.
As you can see, there are several gaps I could not account for. He graduated from Univ. of Minnesota in 1951, moved to Kansas City and began work at Bendix Corp (Allied-Signal Aerospace) and continued to fly in the reserves out of NAS Olathe, Kansas until Sept 1955.
Any info you can piece together would be great. Let me know if I can help in any way.
  Thanks, David Giorgini DavidGiorgini@aol.com

So Sorry I didn't find out about the Reunion a couple of years ago. Would like very much to find AEM2 (at that time) James M. Campbell, also of VP-47 those dates and later assigned somewhere around Jacksonville, Florida (after shipping for 6). I was flight crew electrician and ECM operator in the EXEC's crew. Loved every minute of flight time. Later, until mid '61 assigned to VP-881 out of NAS Olathe, Kansas..." [09OCT2001]
