HistoryA BIT OF HISTORY: "...VP-834 out of NAS Floyd Bennett Field, New York. In November of that year our Squadron was combined with VP-832 and recalled to active duty RE: Cuban Crisis. Deployed to NAS Jacksonville, Florida and was redesignated VP-62 then deployed to NAS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, rigging the Ships carrying the missles into that country..." Contributed by Carl J.
