PBY-5a Catalina amphibian ZK-PBY owned and operated by the 'Catalina
Club' a warbird enthusiast group in Auckland, New Zealand. Formerly
Z-CAT operated out of Harare, Zimbabwae, it now represents NZ4017
(XX-T) of the wartime RNZAF.

THE LATEST MODEL UPDATE 4

The visual Model is now in its final form (many thanks to former USN
PBY flight engineer: Adolph P. Meisch, for some valuable dimensioned
drawings). The hull has been further deepened and the pylon
shortened, the wing has been thickened, in addition improvements have been made to the landing gear,
stabilising floats and blisters. The model now has fewer bleed through
problems

Again 2 versions are included, with the intention of
changing the aircraft, depending on the type of landing or takeoff
the FS98 pilot wants to do.

G-controls landing gear (landplane) or floats (seaplane)

/-controls a wake in the seaplane model.

The Catalina Club operate their aircraft out of Ardmore Aerodrome
in Papakura, South Auckland. I can recommend a flight in the Cat

the club (the aircraft is not currently recognised as a commercial
